Annie Onyi Cheung (she/her) is a Chinese Canadian conceptual artist whose work combines performance, video, language and objects. Born in Hong Kong, she is a 1.5 generation immigrant who grew up in Scarborough, a suburb of Tkaronto (Toronto). Her work and workshops have been exhibited nationally. She holds a BA(hons) from University of Toronto, and an MFA from NSCAD University, where she has also designed courses and taught. Since 2012, she has been based in K’jipuktuk (Halifax) in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
